Deborah grew up in northern Maine which continues to influence her work today. She uses impressionism and realism with a touch of abstract techniques, to evoke a sense of peace and tranquility through light, color and movement She has studied under accomplished artists in Chicago and Richmond, including at Crossroads Art Center and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
