As a native Mainer, Deborah grew up hiking the Appalachian Trail to Katahdin, skiing the slopes of Maine and Vermont, and spending nearly every season outdoors. These early experiences continue to shape her artistic vision and deep connection to nature. Working primarily in oils and acrylics, she is drawn to painting rocky shorelines, quiet lakes, rolling hills, and open fields. She has studied under accomplished artists in Chicago and Richmond, including at Crossroads Art Center and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and has successfully sold her work through Crossroads Art Center.
